The College of Management exceeded $1 million in contracts and grants expenditures for fiscal year 2008-09, reflecting the college’s significant annual increases in faculty funded research over the past five years.
At a meeting earlier this summer, Terri Lomax, NC State’s vice chancellor for research and graduate programs, recognized the College of Management, along with the College of Education, as NC State campus units with the fastest growth in grants and contracts.
The College of Management ended fiscal year 2008-2009 with $1,034,346 in sponsored research expenditures, up from $705,175 in 2007-08; $621,661 in 2006-07; $382,812 in 2005-06, and $202,772 in 2004-05.
“I congratulate all our faculty who helped the College of Management reach this milestone by their dedication to advancing knowledge through research,” said Steve Allen, associate dean for research and graduate programs in the college.
“This achievement reflects the creativity, energy and dedication of many faculty members in the college, as well as the support of our director of research development, Brian Thomas,” he said.
The complete listing of sponsored research is provided at the Research and Faculty tab on the college’s website.
