The BioSciences Management MBA concentration focuses on the emerging life sciences industry and its many challenges. This practical program brings together both the scientific and management sides of the business to better prepare you for a career or career advancement in biotechnology and pharmaceuticals.

The biosciences industries are dynamic, complex and highly entrepreneurial. They require knowledge in diverse areas including leadership, ethics, innovation and entrepreneurship, and regulatory and budget management. The BioSciences Management Concentration addresses these and other topics, such as market dynamics of pharmaceutical and biotechnology commerce.

Through project-based learning and an internship – required for full-time MBA students – you to apply what you learn in the classroom as you work on real projects for biosciences companies. Cross-functional teams include students from both the Jenkins Graduate School of Management and College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS), who may take biosciences as part of a dual concentration, and students from engineering and other technical disciplines across campus.

Most students who concentrate in BioSciences Management come from an academic life sciences background or have extensive work experience in the field.
