Career Resources

ONE STUDENT’S PERSPECTIVE

CareerBeam “industry information questions for interviews” has already helped me in my BUS 500 Strategy class. Doug Vinsel, the CEO of Duke Raleigh Hospital was very impressed with the level of questions I had prepared for him. I found these on the CareerBeam industry “opener” questions page. Mr. Vinsel thought at first that this was specifically a Healthcare Strategy class and that is why I seemed to have such great questions. I knew very little about the kinds of questions to ask him and CareerBeam made the difference. CareerBeam can help you in class as well as helping to find a job.
Getting a chance to spend 90 minutes of office time with the CEO was thanks to a combination of both my network and my questions prepared beforehand. – Tim Tucker, second year part-time MBA Student
