Student Life Blog - Masters of Global Innovation Management

31 March 2009

One of the focal points of the MGIM program is communication skills and we want to share with you what our students are doing.

“Inadequate business communication skills” is among the top three subjects that many companies express concern over – especially when it comes to technically-trained students. These skills matter because regardless of how technically oriented the business; the engine of commerce is still powered by personal communication.

We focus a lot on communication in the MGIM program. Even before we begin class in France, we study French language and culture so that we can better understand the society where we will be studying and living during the fall semester. It gives us the confidence and ability to interact and communicate with local people and companies.
